Skyler Sulby is a visual storyteller who incorporates her youthful perspective into her work. She uses mixed-media art and animation within the majority of the films she directs. Her 2022 documentary 40 Winks, explored the world of dream analysis by weaving together interviews with animated sequences and archival footage.
During her college career studying Film Production at University of Southern California, she has amassed ample experience producing, editing and directing films. She strives to tell stories that promote unique perspectives to spread a deeper understanding of human experiences. In April of 2022 she curated the visual elements for the USC sponsored event Nobody Knows: Voices Unmuted. The piece premiered at the Grammy Museum in LA and centered around various poets sharing their experiences with inequality in America.
Her upcoming short film Blue, centers around a young girl with a regulatory disorder struggling to make her first friend. Skyler is currently based in Los Angeles.
